I've been using this turn table for over 25 years and nothing can compare. Don't get the base wet, if it does, do not oil it, just sand lightly and add a little graphite to it. My husband added to little sharp metal screws through the turntable pointing upward to grip onto my cake bases so they don't slide while I ice cakes and that made a great product absolutely perfect. I have used turn tables with bearings and they don't last like this one, no bearings to wear out. This is the best and I just can't see how any cake decorator can live without this turn table.
